Wellington’s Senior School play, Almost Some Of The Time, focused on the subject of love, punctuated by ten Bob Dylan songs with scenes playing out in five separate areas of the school’s main reception. The audience moved between the scenes, promenade-style, so that their perception of the drama was constantly changing. With a concluding scene involving the four therapists discussing what motivates their ‘patients’ to talk to them, love and death are offered as humanity’s defining preoccupations, each somehow linked to the other in a diabolically playful dance.
